“oh, there are pictures.. I keep them where I need the most cheering up.”
For those who don’t know the story behind this:
Before Maggie was born, Homer Simpson worked at the Nuclear Plant because he needed the money to pay for all the debt. Once Homer Simpson finally payed the debt, he quit his job to work at his dream job at the bowling alley. When Homer Simpson found out that Marge was pregnant with Maggie, he became depressed that he had to quit his job at the bowling alley because the salary couldn’t support them. When Homer Simpson begged Mr. Burns for his old life back, he put a plaque that reads “Don’t Forget: You’re Here Forever.” When Maggie was born, Homer instantly fell in love with her. When Lisa asked Homer where did all Maggie’s baby pictures went, Homer explains that he keeps it where he needs it the most.

Probably the most sentimental cartoon episode ever
Powerful shit from 90’s Simpsons always cheers me up.
I feel I can sum up my year with the following story of my life:
I went to POST (the Police Academy) this summer. Leslie and I and been anticipating it and to a certain extent, dreading it. We hadn’t spent much time apart since we had started going out about 10 months earlier. It was going to be hard. We had become a part of each other’s daily routine and I would be required to stay there for 5 days at a time and to be allowed to return home on weekends. We made it 3 days.
It was Wednesday and it was decided that we needed to see each other. I was allowed to roam around from the time our classes ended until 10 o’clock at night. It was decided that we would meet at the Meridian Hastings. I arrived first and set up at the little café in a spot that overlooked every entrance to the establishment. I sat and waited. I was so nervous, as if I was about to meet her for the very first time. It was then that it really struck me, how much I had missed seeing her. It had been 3 days. Just 72 short hours.
I became so nervous I got up and started looking at books. She’d be there in a matter of minutes. I went down each aisle looking, not reading the titles of thousands of books. For some reason I found myself in the corner of the store that had nothing but children’s books. I was confused and sweaty and nervous. And that’s when I heard the familiar sound of someone “flip-flopping”. I knew it was her. I don’t know how I did but I did. I began walking towards the sound and pretty quickly I caught up to it. And there she was. She was in a new dress and of course wearing some flip-flops. She was walking away and towards the end of an aisle. I stopped where I was and watched her. Before she reached the end of aisle, she stopped abruptly and turned around. She was smiling before the first step she took towards me. I saw her face and the way her body acted when she saw me. It was the same as mine. Just as nervous and ready to meet. Just as complete.
I can never truly describe exactly what happened at that moment. Its something her and I will always share. I’m sure to any observer it was just a guy and girl meeting at a books store. For us, it was proof.

Hello Good Morning Internet: I’m afraid to admit all of the terrible things I would do for free tacos.

Obstacle course in gym.
Slow jog around perimeter, when the whistle blows:
Start at low hurdles across length of gym floor, sprint to opposite side. One legged ladder hops, tire hops, opposite leg ladder hops sprint back. Slalom run through upright posts, 2 door agility ladder, sprint back. Low hurdles once more.
For every obstacle knocked over, we were charged with 5 pushups. By the end of it, our class of 45 knocked over 13 implements. We paid our 65 pushups.
We went though the course about 4 times and then one perfect run at the end (nothing knocked over).
